  • mixing bowl for seasoning wings
  • large pot for boiling corn
  • skillet for sautéing green beans
  • baking tray for baking potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 lb chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp chili powder
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup cooked beef bacon bits (or turkey or mushroom bacon)
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 tbsp chopped chives
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp butter for green beans
  • 2 ears corn on the cob
  • 1 tbsp butter for corn
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your smoker or grill to 375°F (190°C).
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to help them crisp during cooking.
  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, oregano, and chili powder.
  • Toss the wings in the seasoning mixture until evenly coated.
  • Place wings on the smoker rack and cook for 35–40 minutes, turning halfway through.
  • For extra crispiness, broil the wings for 3–4 minutes at the end.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wash the potatoes and pierce them several times with a fork.
  • Bake the potatoes for 45–50 minutes until tender.
  • Slice open each baked potato and fluff the inside with a fork.
  • Top the potatoes with shredded cheddar cheese, bacon bits, sour cream, and chopped chives.
  • Bring a pot of water to a boil.
  • Add corn and boil for 6–8 minutes until tender.
  • Brush the corn with butter and season lightly with salt.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Sauté green beans for 5–6 minutes until tender but still slightly crisp.
  • Season the green beans with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Arrange the smoked wings, loaded baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and green beans on plates and serve.

Notes

Pat the wings completely dry before seasoning to ensure crispy skin. You can bake the wings in the oven at 400°F (200°C) if a smoker is not available. For a lighter version, use turkey bacon, reduced-fat cheese, or olive oil instead of butter.
