  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups cooked navy beans (or canned, drained)
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 6 boiled eggs
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp paprika for garnish
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Rub beef ribs with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Place in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 1 hour until tender. Remove foil, brush generously with barbecue sauce, and bake another 15 minutes to caramelize.
  • Combine cooked navy beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, tomato paste, and mustard powder in a small baking dish. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  • Boil macaroni according to package instructions and drain. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stir in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened, then add shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy, then mix with the cooked macaroni.
  • Slice boiled eggs in half and remove the yolks. Mash yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, and salt until smooth. Spoon the mixture back into the egg whites and sprinkle with paprika.
  • Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Form into small meatballs and place on a baking tray. Bake for 15 minutes at 350°F (175°C), then coat lightly with barbecue sauce and bake another 5 minutes.
  • Arrange the barbecue ribs, baked beans, creamy macaroni, deviled eggs, and meatballs on a large serving plate. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

For extra smoky flavor, add a few drops of liquid smoke or briefly grill the ribs before baking. Stir the cheese sauce constantly to prevent lumps, and keep deviled eggs chilled until serving. Line baking trays with parchment paper for easy cleanup when making the meatballs.
