Equipment

  • blender
  • knife for slicing kiwi
  • cutting board
  • tall serving glasses
  • spoon for stirring

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups guava juice
  • 1/2 cup kiwi juice or kiwi syrup
  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 2 fresh kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup sparkling soda water
  • 4 slices kiwi slices for garnish
  • 4-6 leaves fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Add guava juice, kiwi juice or syrup, honey, lime juice, and crushed ice to a blender. Blend until the mixture becomes thick, icy, and smooth like a slush.
  • Add one of the sliced kiwis to the blender and pulse briefly so small kiwi pieces remain in the slush.
  • Pour the blended slush mixture into tall chilled glasses, filling each about three-quarters full.
  • Slowly pour sparkling soda water over the slush to create a light fizzy layer, then stir gently.
  • Garnish each glass with the remaining kiwi slices and fresh mint leaves. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.

Notes

Use chilled juices to keep the slush colder and prevent quick melting. If kiwi juice is unavailable, blend ripe kiwi with a little water and strain. Adjust sweetness with extra honey or agave syrup depending on fruit ripeness. For extra flavor, try flavored sparkling water such as lemon-lime or coconut.
