Equipment

  • oven or air fryer
  • large skillet
  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • baking sheet

Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen fries (or homemade fries)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • 12 oz sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 12 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (for veggies)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (for sauce)
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (for sauce)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (for sauce)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) or air fryer according to package instructions.
  • Toss fries with olive oil and a pinch of salt.
  • Spread fries in a single layer and bake or air-fry until crispy and golden, about 20–25 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, hot sauce, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Adjust seasoning to taste and set aside.
  • Season steak slices and shrimp with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef slices 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.
  • In the same skillet, sauté shrimp until pink and opaque, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  • Add sliced bell peppers and onions to the skillet and cook 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning.
  • Spread fries on a serving platter. Layer with sautéed vegetables, top with beef and shrimp, and drizzle generously with creamy Cajun sauce. Serve immediately.

Notes

Slice beef thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness. Avoid overcrowding fries to keep them crispy. Shrimp cooks quickly—remove as soon as pink and opaque. Sauce can be made up to 2 days ahead and refrigerated. For a lighter option, use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise. Serve immediately after assembling to prevent soggy fries.
