Equipment

  • large serving board or platter
  • mixing bowl
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • spoon

Ingredients

  • 200 g cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 200 g deli-style turkey or beef, sliced
  • 3 hard-boiled eggs, halved
  • 1 handful fresh lettuce leaves
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 0.5 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 150 g mozzarella balls
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp oregano or fresh basil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • crackers or crusty bread (optional)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with oregano or basil, season with salt and pepper, and toss gently.
  • Arrange fresh lettuce leaves on a large serving board to create a base.
  • Place sliced cheddar cheese in one section and fold deli meat slices beside it.
  • Add halved hard-boiled eggs, cucumber slices, and red onion in separate clusters.
  • Spoon the prepared Caprese salad onto the platter in its own section.
  • Add crackers or crusty bread if desired and adjust layout for an even, visually appealing presentation before serving.

Notes

Customize with your favorite cheeses, meats, or seasonal vegetables. For a vegetarian version, swap deli meat with grilled vegetables or tofu. Assemble just before serving for best freshness and presentation.
