Equipment

  • meat mallet or rolling pin
  • mixing bowls
  • skillet
  • tongs
  • saucepan

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, sliced into thin cutlets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Place the chicken between sheets of plastic wrap and pound until evenly thick.
  • Prepare three bowls: one with flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; one with beaten eggs; and one with breadcrumbs.
  • Dredge each cutlet in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a skillet and fry the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  • In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, and butter over low heat until smooth.
  • Drizzle or brush the sauce over the chicken cutlets until evenly coated.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs. Adjust the spice level by choosing a milder or hotter sauce. You can bake or air-fry the chicken for a lighter version. Store the sauce separately and add just before serving to keep the coating crispy.
