Equipment

  • skillet
  • oven
  • baking sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • knife
  • cutting board

Ingredients

  • 2 beef patties
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 large lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 4 pickle slices
  • 0.25 cup beef or turkey bacon crumbles
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 large sweet potatoes, cut into fries
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 220°C (430°F). Toss sweet potato fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated.
  • Spread fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway until golden brown and slightly crispy.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season beef patties with salt and pepper. Cook 3–4 minutes per side.
  • Place cheddar cheese on patties during last minute of cooking and cover briefly to melt.
  • Warm beef or turkey bacon crumbles in the same skillet.
  • Assemble burgers: place patty on a lettuce leaf, add bacon, tomato, pickles, and top with another lettuce leaf or fold sides.
  • Serve immediately with sweet potato fries. Optionally garnish fries with parsley or a squeeze of lemon.

Notes

Use sturdy lettuce like romaine or iceberg to hold the burger fillings. Pat sweet potato fries dry before baking for crispiness. Customize protein, cheese, and spices to fit dietary needs. Serve immediately for best texture.
