Ingredients
  

  • 170 g unsalted butter
  • 225 g semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 250 g granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 95 g all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan or springform pan. Line the bottom with parchment paper if using a springform pan.
  • Melt the butter with half of the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in short intervals and stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla until lighter in color and slightly thickened.
  • Slowly mix the cooled chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until glossy and fully combined.
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold into the batter just until combined, then stir in remaining chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40–45 minutes, until the top is set and crackly but the center remains soft.
  • Cool for 20–30 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature with desired toppings.

Notes

For the best gooey texture, avoid overbaking and let the pie cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with ice cream or chocolate sauce for an extra-indulgent dessert. Dark chocolate can be used for a less sweet flavor.
