Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 2–3 tbsp sugar or sweetener, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract

Instructions

  • Pour 2 cups of your chosen milk into a small saucepan and warm over medium heat. Avoid boiling; aim for a gentle simmer.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder and 2–3 tablespoons of sugar. Whisk continuously to combine and dissolve any lumps, creating a smooth chocolate base.

  • Pour the hot chocolate into mugs. Top with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, chocolate shavings, or crushed candy canes. Serve immediately.

Notes
