Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1 cup tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1 small jalapeño, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Wash and dice the strawberries and finely chop the tomatoes into evenly sized pieces.
  • Finely dice the red onion and jalapeño, and chop the cilantro.
  • In a large bowl, combine strawberries, tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, and cilantro.
  • Add lime juice, salt, and black pepper over the mixture.
  • Gently toss everything together until evenly mixed. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Let the salsa rest for 10–15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  • Serve fresh with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, grilled meats, or salads.

Notes

For best flavor, use ripe but firm strawberries and fresh lime juice. Adjust jalapeño to control heat. Serve the same day for optimal freshness and texture. Avoid freezing as it affects consistency.
