Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) diced tomatoes
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen peas or corn (optional)
  • 1 cup carrots, diced (optional)
  • 1 handful spinach (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef, diced onion, and bell pepper. Cook until the beef is no longer pink and the vegetables are soft (5–7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, Italian seasoning, and bay leaves. Stir to combine.
  • Stir in uncooked macaroni. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes until pasta is tender and sauce thickens, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove bay leaves and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted. Serve hot.

Notes

This goulash is flexible: swap beef for turkey or chicken, add extra veggies, or use reduced-fat cheese for a lighter version. Ideal for busy weeknights, leftovers, or freezer meals.
