Equipment

  • skillet or frying pan
  • deep frying pan or pot
  • mixing bowls
  • knife
  • cutting board

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breast fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 3 large potatoes, cut into fries
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed (for mash)
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 0.5 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup mixed greens
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp olive oil (optional for salad)

Instructions

  • Season chicken with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side until fully cooked.
  • Mix soy sauce and honey. Pour glaze over chicken in the skillet and simmer 2–3 minutes. Sprinkle sesame seeds and slice chicken.
  • Boil peeled, cubed potatoes until tender, 12–15 minutes. Drain and mash with milk, butter, and a pinch of salt.
  • Cut remaining potatoes into fries. Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry potatoes in batches until golden and crispy. Drain and season with salt.
  • Combine chopped tomato, sliced onion, and mixed greens. Drizzle with lemon juice and optional olive oil. Toss gently.
  • Assemble plates with rice, glazed chicken, mashed potatoes, crispy fries, and salad.

Notes

Ensure chicken breasts are evenly thick for uniform cooking. Glaze over low-medium heat to prevent burning. Fry potatoes in batches for crispiness. Mash potatoes with warm milk and butter for a smoother texture. Prepare salad just before serving to keep greens crisp. Rice can be pre-cooked for convenience.
