Equipment

  • skillet
  • non-stick pan
  • mixing bowls
  • whisk
  • serving platter

Ingredients

  • 4 slices thick-cut bread
  • 3 eggs for French toast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp butter for cooking French toast
  • 4 eggs for scrambled eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk for eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (parsley or chives)
  • 4 beef or chicken sausage links
  • 8 strips beef or turkey bacon
  • maple syrup for serving
  • powdered sugar for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Whisk together 3 eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a shallow bowl.
  • Dip each bread slice into the mixture, coating both sides. Let sit briefly to absorb.
  • Heat butter in a skillet and cook bread 2–3 minutes per side until golden. Set aside.
  • Cook sausage links over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
  • Cook bacon in a pan until crispy. Drain excess oil.
  • Whisk 4 eggs with 2 tablespoons milk, salt, and pepper until frothy.
  • Cook eggs on low heat in a non-stick pan, stirring slowly for creamy curds. Remove before overcooking.
  • Sprinkle chopped herbs over scrambled eggs.
  • Arrange French toast, scrambled eggs, sausages, and bacon on a serving platter.
  • Serve warm with maple syrup and optional powdered sugar.

Notes

Use slightly stale bread for French toast for better absorption. Scrambled eggs are best cooked on low heat for a creamy texture. Components like French toast and sausages can be prepped ahead, but eggs are best fresh. Customize with plant-based alternatives or additional sides.
