Equipment

  • air fryer
  • mixing bowls
  • small saucepan
  • grill or grill pan
  • tongs

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split at joints
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp olive oil (for sauce)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 0.5 cup raw honey
  • 0.25 cup tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water
  • red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 ears of corn, husked
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for corn)
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 cups mixed greens or romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup cucumber, sliced
  • light vinaigrette dressing

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss with cornstarch, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, then drizzle with olive oil.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 450°F. Arrange wings in a single layer and cook for 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway, until crispy and golden.
  • Heat olive oil in a small pan. Sauté garlic and ginger, then add honey and tamari. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.
  • Toss the cooked wings with the honey garlic sauce until evenly coated. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
  • Brush corn with olive oil, season, and grill for 10–12 minutes. Toss salad greens, tomatoes, and cucumber with vinaigrette.
  • Serve wings hot with grilled corn and fresh salad on the side.

Notes

For less sweetness, reduce the honey or add a splash of lemon juice. You can bake the wings at 425°F for 25–30 minutes if you don’t have an air fryer. Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F for best crispiness.
