Ingredients
  

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup chopped kale (optional)
  • 12 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini

Instructions
 

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry and coat both sides generously with Cajun seasoning. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let rest before slicing into strips.
  • In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Sprinkle in flour and stir constantly for 1–2 minutes. Slowly whisk in chicken broth, then add heavy cream. Simmer gently for 3–5 minutes until thickened. Stir in grated Parmesan until melted and smooth.
  • Add tortellini directly to the sauce and cook for 5–7 minutes until tender. Stir in chopped kale and allow it to wilt. Return the sliced chicken to the skillet and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning, then serve warm with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning to control the spice level. For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream and reduce the Parmesan slightly. Kale can be replaced with spinach or broccoli. Frozen tortellini can be used—just increase the cooking time slightly and add a splash of broth if needed.
