Equipment

  • large baking tray
  • parchment paper for easy cleanup
  • microwave-safe bowls
  • spoon or piping bag for drizzling chocolate

Ingredients

  • 24 pretzel rods
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup blue candy melts
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup crushed vanilla cookies (edible sand)
  • 1/4 cup white and blue nonpareils sprinkles
  • chocolate sea shells, seahorses, and starfish decorations

Instructions

  • Line a large baking tray with parchment paper and gather all ingredients, chocolate, candy melts, and decorations.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth. Add coconut or vegetable oil if needed for a smoother texture. Melt the blue candy melts in a separate bowl the same way.
  • Dip each pretzel rod halfway into the melted white chocolate and allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Place the coated pretzels on the parchment-lined tray and drizzle blue candy melts over the white chocolate to create an ocean wave effect.
  • Immediately sprinkle crushed vanilla cookies near the base of the chocolate coating to resemble beach sand.
  • While the chocolate is still soft, gently press chocolate sea shells, seahorses, and starfish decorations into the coating.
  • Sprinkle white and blue nonpareils around the decorations for extra sparkle and texture.
  • Allow the pretzels to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until the chocolate hardens completely.
  • Serve immediately on a platter or wrap individually for party favors and themed celebrations.

Notes

Use dark or milk chocolate instead of white chocolate for a different flavor. Work quickly when adding decorations so they stick before the chocolate hardens. You can also double dip pretzels in blue candy melts to create deeper ocean waves. For best results, allow chocolate to set at room temperature before refrigerating to prevent cracking.
