Ingredients
  

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried mixed herbs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 slices sandwich bread
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Instructions
 

  • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and dried herbs. Heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium heat. Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side until cooked through. Let rest before slicing.
  • Mix melted butter and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  • Brush both sides of bread slices with garlic butter. Toast in a skillet or griddle over medium heat until golden and crisp.
  • Layer sliced chicken, lettuce, and tomato on one slice of toasted bread. Top with second slice and press gently.
  • Serve warm, optionally with fries, chips, or a light salad.

Notes

Use whole-grain or sourdough bread for extra flavor. Butter can be swapped with olive oil spread for a lighter version. Chicken thighs are a juicier alternative to breasts. Fresh herbs enhance aroma, and extras like avocado or cucumber add freshness.
