Equipment

  • panini press or grill pan
  • knife
  • spatula
  • small bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 large ciabatta rolls or thick-cut sandwich bread
  • 1 cooked chicken breast, sliced
  • 4 slices turkey ham
  • 2 slices Swiss or provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Slice the ciabatta rolls in half. Brush the outer sides with olive oil. Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard inside both halves.
  • Layer sliced chicken, turkey ham, cheese, lettuce, and tomato on the bottom half. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with the other half of the bread.
  • Preheat panini press or grill pan. Press sandwich gently and grill 4–5 minutes until bread is golden and cheese melted.
  • Remove from heat, rest 1 minute, slice in half, and serve warm. Optionally drizzle olive oil or add dipping sauce.

Notes

Use fresh ciabatta for crispiness, slice ingredients evenly, and assemble just before grilling for best results. Substitute cheeses, bread, or proteins to customize. Add fresh vegetables after reheating if freezing.
